Yes and encourage guests to book on Resy online. Reservations can be made by clicking on the reservations link at the top of our web page. We open our reservation book 30 days in advance at midnight. Parties up to 8 guests are bookable online, but are limited. For groups larger than 8 or if you have any issues or questions, a host is available by phone every day from 3:00 pm to close at 301.961.6450. We do not accept reservations via email or voicemail.

Please email info@aventinocucina.com to reserve the elevated dining room for your next event.

We ask for guests to please let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel. If you are running late for your reservation, please give us a call. We will hold your table for 15 minutes after your reservation time. If you would still like to join us, we will put your party on our walk-in waitlist.

Yes, we always keep a portion of our tables for walk-ins. Parties of 6-8 should call to check availability as we have limited large tables. If you encounter a wait for a table, our bar is always first-come, first-serve and offers the full dinner menu.

If you encounter a wait when you walk in, you can place your name and cell phone number on our wait list. Then you are free to wait at our bar or go elsewhere as we will text you when the table is ready. If you leave, we will hold on to your table for 10 minutes while you make your way back. Please note, we cannot add guests to the waitlist by phone.

We do! We just ask that you come in to place your order at the bar in person. Orders are typically ready within 20-25 minutes depending on the size of the order and kitchen volume. For shorter wait times we recommend coming in as soon as we open to place your order. We are unfortunately unable to accept advanced orders due to our limited kitchen capacity.

We do not have a dress code and our atmosphere is upscale casual.

We are located above a private parking garage accessible on 4747 Bethesda Ave and 7200 Wisconsin Ave. It is open from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm ($8.00 for up to 2 hours, $15 daily max and $5 on evenings and weekends). There are also several public parking garages in the surrounding area.

Our nearest metro is the Red Line Bethesda station which is a 7-9 minute walk to Aventino.

Absolutely! We only ask that you count your little ones when making a reservation.

Yes, we will do everything in our power to provide you with a dish you can eat and enjoy! Your server and/or bartender will always ask, but please inform them of all allergies and dietary requirements.

Lunch is served Tuesday to Friday 11:30 – 2:30 pm. Brunch is available Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 – 2:00 pm. These hours of operation are subject to change.

Yes, you may bring in up to 2 bottles of wine that are not on our wine list. There is a corkage fee of $40 per bottle. If you bring in dessert there is a fee of $8 per person. Please note: Our desserts are made in house and are delicious! Cakes made in-house by special request are also available with at least 72 hours advance notice from the date and time of your reservation (events@aventinocucina.com).

We love being a part of special occasions! Our largest table in the dining room is bookable via Resy for up to 6 guests. If you are interested in hosting a large group, we offer a full restaurant buyout, bookable up to 30 days in advance. Our elevated dining room is also available for semi-private events. We serve dinner nightly, lunch Tuesday through Friday starting at 11:30 am, and brunch Saturday and Sunday starting at 10:00 am. We close at 9:00 pm Sunday through Thursday and 10:00 pm Friday and Saturday. Hours are subject to change, so check Resy or give us a call at 301-961-6450.

Aventino is a Roman-inspired Italian restaurant. Our menu centers on housemade pastas, Roman classics, and seasonal Italian cooking, with an extensive Italian wine list and an Italian-spirit leaning bar.

Aventino is from Chef Mike Friedman, a James Beard Award semifinalist and a finalist for Chef of the Year at the RAMMY Awards, the Washington area’s restaurant honors. Chef Friedman is also behind The Red Hen, All-Purpose and Fossette Focacceria in Washington, DC and AP Pizza Shop next door in Bethesda.

We’re at 4747 Bethesda Avenue on Bethesda Row, in the heart of downtown Bethesda. The Bethesda Metro station (Red Line) is a short walk away, and the Capital Crescent Trail runs right by the neighborhood.

Yes, Aventino is part of the same restaurant family as The Red Hen, All Purpose Pizza, AP Pizza Shop, and Fossette Focacceria. AP Pizza Shop, our pizza counter, is right next door on Bethesda Row.
